We are excited to announce that All About Paper will be advertising with Inspire Bridal and working closely with them on events planned for our local Redlands Region.
 
Redlands, Cleveland, Wellington Point, Ormiston, Redland Bay, Stradbroke and the islands are packed full of wonderful venues and locations for special events.

In the mean time we can show you a copy of a new card magazine. Titled Do Crafts, the magazine does have some information on other paper crafts including scrapbooking and gift ideas but for the most part it is focused on making beautiful cards for all kinds of occasions.

Don't forget, Friday is cards classes and a midnight crop followed with an introductory class on the weekend full of tips and hands on sessions with all the tools.

 

Pergamano and Parchment Craft

Have you considered white lacy decorative images of pergamano or parchment craft in your invitations for celebrations?

 

The craft itself has a long artistic history originating from Europe and now spread throughout the world.  Both Pergamano and Parchment craft continue to grow and evolve with new designs and applications resulting in projects that can be very traditional and formal through to very modern and fresh.

All About Paper is very lucky to have a qualified teacher in Pergamano and Parchment craft. Her designs are very skilful and beautiful but more importantly as a teacher she loves to help students discover and grow their own style and skills.  We have a large range of supplies for both Pergamano and Parchment craft available here in the store.

 

Classes are held on the first Sunday of the month, half or whole day, beginners through advanced.  As Ms Pergamano says ‘what better way to spend an afternoon than with new friends enjoying a handicraft in sunny surroundings’.  Numbers are limited, please phone in advance to book your seats.

 

The new card magazine includes a column dedicated to Pergamano which will be welcomed by the many fans.  Samples of the card magazine are available at the store now, we are taking subscription registrations and will be hosting technique classes based around some of their projects, first class will be a freebie on the 26th.  Check our new site dedicated to cards at Invitations for Celebrations.

Photography is described as an art and process of reproducing images and preserving memories. You don’t have to be a scrapbooker to appreciate that. Who hasn’t seen a special moment that we want to savour the memory forever?

 

With all the new and affordable digital options photographs we all seem to be taking more photos.  Why not make the best of that at enrol in a lesson to update your skills or gift certificate a lesson for someone who likes to take photos. 

 

Melissa and Andrea of Point Shoot Play who teach half day photography lessons here at All About Paper are not only very skilled in the use of equipment but also talented teachers.  They like to inspire others to achieve their best. Our class numbers are kept small to allow you individual attention for your own needs with your own camera at your own skill level.

Photoshop is a useful tool for photo manipulation that has both high end professional and home based editions with something for everyone.  Much like the class where our numbers are kept small to allow you more personal attention, where everyone has their hands on the computer mouse learning the tricks that make this computer program a sinch.

Mini Holidays

Did you enjoy the long weekend last week? For many of us holidays may be a way off but long weekends are always nice to take time out and enjoy the fun things in life, like scrapbooking.  New travel themed papers have arrived, Dove of the East for your Thailand and  Bali pages and lots more too choose from.  Scrapping photos from past holidays can be almost like a mini holiday in themselves.  Our design team has created many sample pages to inspire you to document all the little details of your trips.

Did you see the samples of the new card magazine? We are taking subscriptions and advance orders for the 1^st edition scheduled for delivery at the end of July. I can say it is great value, not just because we are the premier or lead store in the region but so many of our card makers have confirmed it with their excitement. To celebrate the launch of the magazine and new cards product range a free card class is scheduled for Friday the 26^th, please book your places soon.

 

Point Shoot Play is visiting All About Paper on Saturday the 20^th to host a ½  day photography class followed by a ½ day Photoshop class.  Individual attention from talented award winning teachers means that you are hands on with your own individual computers and learning to achieve more.  Point Shoot Play is an external class and freebies are not available but you have got to agree that Photoshop and Photography lessons of this quality are priceless.

 

Invitations for Celebrations is becoming an important part of All About Paper so much that we have started a new blog to cater specifically for cards, parchment craft and pergamno.   We will still post information about the classes and new tools arriving here but if you know anyone who only needed specific information about cards for special events you can suggestion they check out Invitations for Celebrations.  And check out the new range of stamps that arrived this week, perfect for ATCs Inchies Cards and all kinds of other projects.

 

Marrakech and Arabesque

Kaiser Marrakech and Arabesque is back in stock again along with everything from Scrap Within Reach, lots of lovely new papers arriving this week,  pop by and see the new stock or pick up a sale item from the discount corner.

The full range of Rapt In Paper is now in stock and considering the warm reception at the recent Scrapbook Expo, we think it will be selling fast.  Rapt In Paper has a gallery developing and accepting submissions for a competition for free product.  

I am meeting with a potential new card teacher this week which will be a fun addition to our team. If you know of a card or papercraft teacher who would like to be a guest at All About Paper, please pass my contact details on to them as we are always on the look out for the new and inspiring.

 

At the scrapbooking expo Mandy won a YuDu screen printing machine and while she is moving house it is sitting at the shop. If you are interested in learning more about YuDu come by for a visit, I think it holds a lot of possibilities particularly for special events in that it can print your images to all kinds of different products allowing you to personalise almost anything !

 

Scrapbooking Expo

 Our staff had a fabulous time at the Scrapbooking Expo over the long weekend. It was a great time to get out and network with everyone in the industry and you know how much I like to find the best of what is new to bring back to share with you.

 

Spent some time with the girls from Point Shoot Play planning some new classes for you all.  Have a few openings left for the 20th in both the photography and photoshop lessons.

Technique Classes

This week’s Classes are a very technique focused.

Pergamano parchment Craft with a fully qualified teacher on Sunday.  Half day $30 or full day $49.95 that includes lunch.  You will be amazed at the results you can achieve with just a few quick lessons with our talented teacher who takes the best of her overseas training and qualifications and helps us find a unique Australian spin for specialty designed cards.

 

Technique Tuesday our recession buster special learn to re-use products you already have in different ways to create stylish pages full of flair.  $15 or $10 for club members

Photography and Point Shoot Play Sat 20^th June, byo camera for training with a professional for only $60 but the Photoshop we supply individual computers to each student at $50 for the session. I really enjoy the personal and hands on tuition with these classes, something to learn for everyone from expert to beginner.  Will be catching up with the girls from Point Shoot Play at the scrapbook expo this weekend, I hear they have got some new ideas for classes and projects.

As always our All About Paper classes include all you need to create the class sample, all the glue, papers, trims and tools, no need to buy anything on top of the class cost.

Our large well lit workspace is available outside of scheduled class times for you to organise working bees for invitations or small crop sessions. You can be trained to make use of the Pazzle, Cricuit or other tools to complete your projects.  Making your own invitations and cards can be a real cost saver but then it can be hard to find unique ideas that make a statement. Our design team is on call to show you different ideas utilising a range of products that suit your special occasions.
